About Innovation New Zealand
New Zealand is both challenged and favoured by its geographical position and in its history. Over the years our people have shown great business nous and creativity capability in developing solutions, and creating productive businesses. It is vital now that we step up and continue this positive trend. If you would like to know more about why my perspective on innovation you can read more here:
I believe that the vision of New Zealand as described by the late Professor Sir Paul Callaghan is the goal for which we should strive. He envisioned that we need 90 businesses of 100 people to sustain a strong position economically and globally. This requires fundamental change and business growth. Commitment in mindset and leadership of innovative organisations provides much of the answer.
Innovation requires creativity, experimentation, a low fear of failure and an open outlook.
Once a week I will write an update to keep you informed with my latest thinking, insights and experience. My goal is to help your innovation journey and to help you make the most of the talents and resources you have available to you.
